| Wow the animations are by far the best i've ever seen this episode, and seeing the Akazaya members gave me chills! Already loving the soundtrack from the beginning AND YAMATO!!! AHHHHH MORE YAMATO!! I LOVE HER!! I want nothing more but A 24 minute episode dedicated to her :heart: Yamato the got animated this episode looks waaay too stunning!! Are we even at roof piece yet? I never got ahead of myself, so I am excited to see what the future holds!~ Yamato the got animated this episode looks waaay too stunning!! The Sakura blossom animation at the end was just amazing. The fight was crazy with Kaido! |

| Oden Nitoryu! The end of this episode was GOATED. All the emotional build up to the quadruple Togen Totsuka was so worth it. It was pretty fast paced in the manga, so definitely a win for the anime here. CGI Kaido more noticeable than last time in some scenes, tho and it looked more like DBZ than ever haha. Next two weeks One Piece will be on break or rather said no new episode till January 9th. Preview with Barto narration screamed recap. Oh what I also like to mention is the artistic direction. As beautiful as in episode 994. Btw, funny how Kanjuro wasn't in the additional Kinemon flashback. |

Meaning that the anime going on break won't allow the manga to get ahead. But hell even if it had, 2 weeks' worth of chapters wouldn't have affected the pacing of the anime in any way, regardless. |

| Fantastic way to end off before the special episode with barto (I honestly wasn't expecting anything like it because it's rare seeing one piece have fillers/recap dedicated episodes) Animation was fantastic and it's always nice revisiting Oden and seeing the scabbards. That was beautiful |

| the shamisen’s string breaking and the battle finally staring was niceee each member landing their blows was nice too then they did the oden's two sword style (with ryou) to cut thru a dragon's skin. oden's spirit is really living on o7 brings me back to how much i underestimated kinemon in punk hazard >~< |

| More screen time for Yamato is always a win in my book. But how can Momo still call her a man? That's almost an insult with how gorgeous Yamato looks D: Hopefully it won't last too long until they finally notice, that she's trustworthy and just wants to protect them. The fight between the Akazaya and Kaido was so much fun to watch. The animation went over the top, especially at then end, where everyone of the Akazaya was launching their Nitoryu style Paradise Totsuka right into Kaido's old injury Oden inflicted on him in the past. The little flashbacks fit this whole scene perfect. Even tho they went all out on Kaido, I don't think he took any mature damage. So will be interesting to see, what will happen now that the Akazaya haven't much juice left. Next episode looks like we get a recap with Barto. Haven't heard or seen anything of him in a minute. |

| The quality of this episode is so good!! i love how this episode solely focus on the akazaya nine they really showed how much the akazaya love oden to the point that they had a serious fight to decide who's his best disciple.. |
| The standoff between the Scabbards and Kaido was really enhanced by that song, the calm before the storm. And what a hell of a storm that was. That flashback was also pretty wholesome and then the fight with Kaido was breathtaking, they even brought back Oden's legendary attack, Paradise Totsuka, hell yeah with stellar animation budget, this is definitely one of the best episodes so far. |

| Excellent episode with the main focus being on Akazaya and Kaido! Yamato smh you need to learn more about personal boundaries you are only freaking them out even more then before XD especially with your serial killer sniffing and death glare LMAO but yeah must just be a rebellious phase. Also, I agree with what others are saying it is weird how they keep calling Yamato a man especially Momo but hopefully she can be more herself instead of being Oden once she gets a chance to prove herself and protect Momo. Black Maria's song and strumming was great in building up the mounting tension between our Samurai and Kaido as they starred each other down and the art direction was coupled well with it to great effect. The battle that commences is awesome with excellent animated action; (only a few rough patches with a couple shots of Kaido in CGI) our Samurais get several solid strikes in against Kaido and each get to showcase their own personal style of attack! Although these attacks seem to pierce and cause him pain Kaido keeps recomposing himself until our Warriors channel Oden's Two Sword Style and unleash the Paradise Totsuka technique with burning determination deliver a scarring slash to Kaido's chest! Freakin' bada$$! The soundtrack, the art style and animation direction was top notch plus what a great way to close out One Piece for this year! The flashbacks that were used this episode I felt were integrated into the sequence of events very effectively as well. Next episode looks like a recap with Bartolomeo so we'll have to wait a bit for what comes next but regardless can't wait to see what's in store next for our heroes. |

| Not since the Naruto vs. Sasuke Final Fight have I felt actual heartfelt emotion towards a Japanese cartoon. Congrats to Toei's staff they absolutely captured and earned imo a Top 10 All-Time Non-MC Anime Fight. 20 years of saving their "Ultimates" on Kaido, thumbs up to Oda for making the perfect situation of a loyal crew and the love they had for their leader you can confidently say "If Luffy were wronged and cheated to his grave like Oden was, you're damn freaking right Zoro and the other StrawHats are finishing their friend and captains job" WOW A+ |

| Now that was an absolutely impressive episode with stunningly mind-blowing animation! Love the entire focus of the Akazaya Nine's incredible showdown against Kaido and successfully dealing damage against the mighty dragon. Magnificent soundtrack used in this episode too! Well done, Toei! *applauds* |

| This ep was so damn amazing I got chills throughout black maria's song...can't wait for it to release and the animations were beautiful and the wholesome flashback of them trying to find who's the best retainer was hilarious |

| Toei, just because there's a Dragon now in the show that doesn't mean we are in Dragon Ball Z. The emotional build-up was great but that Dragon Ball animation ruined it for me. I was so hyped for this episode and now I'm filled with disappointment. |

| That animation was superb. Wow, nice Oden nostalgia. The Tozen Totsuka by the retainers were nice. Lovely animation. Too bad there is recap next week. Strange to see recap and filler from Toei. |

| Am I watching a movie or am I hallucinating because my god... THE ANIMATION, VISUAL AND AUDITORY QUALITY IS TOP TIER!!! Without a doubt, this ep is one of the best animated One Piece ep this year, it's only right that they portray the Akazaya Samurai's resolve of beating Kaido by animating their fight segment with the utmost quality, one that surpasses even conventional media and reached the ranks of action movie's production quality. I could only watch with a starstruck eye as I gasp and screamed in excitement, what a joyous ep this was. The formula of taking several panels of the manga and creating an entirely extended fight sequence with a higher tier of cohesive progress in the anime is one that I've always loved to see when an event is adapted into the anime in One Piece. The sentimental value in itself accentuates this ep even greater with all the samurai happily sharing their love of Oden as they charge headfirst into the dragon, Kaido himself. Don't even lie and tell me you didn't at least get goosebumps because oh man... That scene when all the Akazaya Samurai started to dual wields their Katana like Oden used to, straight up BONE CHILLING. The Oden Two Sword Style really is as over the top as the man is, because only by that can anyone hope to defeat such an overwhelmingly powerful enemy. Fantastic ep, nothing negative to note aside from some well... Translation errors in the subtitle. I don't care whether you see Yamato as a man or woman, but Momo calls her a woman, so for the sub to deviate from reality is as delusional as it can get. Seems like the next week onward would be filler eps to give time for the employees for their winter holiday, some even suspect a new OP coming next year, so well, notice! |
