The games that for one reason or another just kind of sit there in your collection.

I have a few.

Any Call of Duty game, i got 2 in a bulk lot but they mostly just sit there in my shelf.

Mafia for the PS2, got stuck in a stage and never really bothered to advance
My waifu is the most wonderful waifu. Mai Valentine.

We're freaking out that we're running out of time, but to do what? Should i stop and think of that? Is there something i could do to slow it down? Live in a day for once, instead of watch it sprinting by

I don't know if I've ever dropped any game, ever... outside of Lost Magic on the DS. Like how am I supposed to remember all 493 Pokémon (Gen 4 days) if I also gotta remember all this weird ass "triple-case" alphabet???

Why do I gotta draw that hortler-ass spaghetti thing to use earth magic?

I've owned Danganronpa for years but never played it😅

Still haven't finished Maitetsu Pure Station on PS4, it's a great game but it's a very wordy VN, and I get bored or distracted very easily.

Haven't yet played Streets of Rage 4 and Gun Gun Pixies on the Switch.

Nobody plays video games because they are usually too defective to play without cheat codes. People buy games for the sake of collecting them, of course.

I've had Steins;Gate on the Vita forever but never have read too far into it. More recently, I just haven't found any time at all to play Final Fantasy Rebirth.

Pokemon Legends of Arceus. The quests and sidequests never really appealed to me and I only really played it for the bgm and character customization.

Devil May Cry 1. I hate the gameplay, everything's so clunky and repetitive. Got to the first boss and dropped it.

DEFCON, Command and Conquer, and Homeworld are some for me. Don't know why, but I am picky with RTS games. Sometimes I will pick one up thinking I'll enjoy it only to drop the game as soon as I start having to think. I also picked up Necrodancer last winter and dropped it after Zone 1. Okami is another one I dropped.

These aren't games I hate (some I think are actually quite good), I just haven't felt like picking them back up.

@DesuMaiden No, you just suck. Get good noob casual.

I tried Yume Nikki, but I admit to being too brainlet for that one.

Harvest Moon: A Magical Melody. I realized a couple of hours in that I prefer to play such games on handhelds. Other games in the series have since been ported to Switch. I hope that Magical Melody and Animal Parade too are rereleased someday.

*look at my games to fill the gap in my memories*

N64
- Starfox64: Just did the first few levels and got bored with it.
- F-Zero X: Played 5 minutes at best.

Gamecube:
- Eternal Darkness: I've yet to play it.
- Tales of Symphonia: Played a bit of it but got bored after an hour or two.
- Metroid Prime and Prime 2: Played Prime a bit but never finished it.
- Kirby Airride: Bought it just recently on a whim and I've yet to try it.
- Baten Kaitos: Bought it because it's a Monolift Soft game but will probably never play it.

Wii (I bought a lot of games from a friend for cheap but I rarely touch the Wii anymore so they are all gathering dust.)
- The Last Story
- Pandora's Tower
- Trauma Team
- Fragile Dreams
- Rune Factory Frontier
- Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love
- Silent Hill Shattered Memories
- Arc Rise Fantasia
- Phantom Brave: We Meet Again
- Zack & Wiki
- FF Chrystal Chronicles Echoes of Time

Wii U
- Tokyo Mirages Session: I maybe played 10 hours or so before dropping it.
- Bayonetta 2: I've yet to play it.

DS
- Okami Den: I played Okami on the Wii but somehow never found the time to play this one somehow.
- Final Fantasy The 4 Heroes of Light: Bought on a whim from someone who was selling their collection. I don't have much interest for it.

3DS
- Persona Q: I played it a little but didn't like the Dungeon Crawling stuff.
- Persona Q2: Yes, I was dumb enough to buy it even though I didn't like the 1st one.

Switch
- Kirby and The Forgotten Land: I did a couple of worlds but completely forgot to finish it at some point.

Most traditional JRPGs I own, I don't get far in. The exception being Mario RPGs and a few Pokemon games.

Elden Ring is one of the rare occasions where I actually wanted to lower the difficulty. And for some dumb reason you cannot. It's a dope ass game but I would average 50 deaths before defeating a boss so I just quit like a noob

Atelier Lulua and VC2. Lulua is a fun game but there's these puzzles that slow down your progression and make playing it feels like a slog, and VC2 has a huge difficult spike in the middle of the game.

Skyrim never felt compelled to complete it I love the mods but good lord that engine is awful. Bethesda really needs to update to a new engine.
Outside that I have trail series but only because I want to play from the beginning I was halfway through trail in the sky when they announced the remake that had cold steels combat system.

Probably around half my Steam library.

One example that comes off the top of my head would be Europa Universalis IV. Ended up letting down some of the expectations I had for it, and also turned out to be a bit convoluted... Got it pretty cheap when it was on sale, at least.

Various and many action jrpgs.

Pretty much this, although not just JRPGs of the action variety, but rather RPGs in general. I feel certain RTS games are also hard to stay stuck on with their extensive mechanics.

Some more that I remembered:
Scarlet Nexus - I did Yuito's story first, but Kasane being a slower attacker was just not fun so I never truly finished the game.
Code Vein - Stopped at Gilded Hunter, if you didn't beat him in the first minute he just got stronger and stronger and could ohk you with his massive AoE.
MH Rise - Boring and bland compared to MHW, regret buying it.
Fairy Fencer F - I got two of the endings but getting the third one is more complicated, so if you count not getting all endings as incomplete, that's another.

I know people love this game, but I'm finding it hard to keep playing Hollow Knight. I definitely see the beauty of it, but I haven't gotten very far and I had to make an active effort to keep playing it to reach where I am currently (just defeated the mantis lords I think, I was told this is where the real game starts but idk)

I own Children of Mana, but I haven't played it yet because I'm still playing Trials of Mana. Don't want to play 2 games from the same series at the same time.

For haven't gotten very far with, Final Fantasy X-2. Stopped playing it after 25 minutes because I didn't know what the fuck to do to progress. Probably the fastest I've ever gotten stuck on a game and stopped playing it. Also recently, Golden Sun, which after a few hours of playing, I reached a point where I don't know what to do to progress, so I'm just done playing the game.

There are alot, I'll list the games I don't play on my switch. Okay to start off, we have Animal Crossing (I found it boring), Borderlands 1, 2 & 3, Sky:Children of the Light ( don't know why I don't like this one), Hello Neighbor (Boring and I always would get caught), Alien: Isolation ( This was a good game but in one part the alien kept killing me so I gave up), Hogwarts Legacy ( Was good until I learned about what happened), Hitman World of Assassination ( Was good but it's a cloud game). That's pretty much it, all the other games I had played.

Dreamfall chapters - I thought it be fun....it's not.
Tomb raider rise and shadow - I didn't like angel of darkness or underworld funny enough the first remake is amazing!
Serbia - stop gifting me these.
Mugen Soul - Idea factory a joke

Games I no longer play are just fighting games or games I done everything in it like resident evil 2 and silent Hill 1. I love king of fighters but they're dead, same goes Blazblue and Jojo ASB.

Tales of:
-Abyss
-Symphonia
-Xillia (started, but didn't finish)

Odin Sphere. I enjoyed it, but didn't finish it.

FFVI. Started that last year, but haven't been in the mood for that kind of game lately, lol.

Bloodbourne, Demon's Souls, Dark Souls. I straight-up suck at this type of game, lol.

I never finished Pokémon Ruby.

Xenosaga. I've had the first two for a long time, but never really got into it. The third volume is stupid expensive nowadays, at that.

Plus remasters of games I played on previous gen' consoles.

SOMA. The horror is pretty intense, jumpscare-heavy and gory at times. Yet, the red thread of the story isn't really good bait at all. I just hate when the stress in chase just feels too artificial and enforced. I think I will never pick it up again. Just some sort of vague, cyperpunk, psycho pass-esque, mashine life, next stage of human existence crap.

Can't think of many but Kotodama is one I remember, visual novel with match 3 gameplay with some light fan service of stripping clothes as the end level reward. The game has a checkpoint bug that makes it impossible to have other endings with the other characters. Bit of a shame really because I liked the concept just that a big soft locking bug like that makes it difficult to defend or justify.

Metroid Prime on Gamecube. I start the game and I am having a good time then I get passed the first boss and become disinterested. I love 2D Metroid and played my fair share of Metroidvanias so its not that style of game design.
