Restore Point Creator is a free tool which Allows you to create standard windows restore points on your computer. You use the built-in Windows Task Scheduler to schedule how often you want to create restore points Daily, Weekly, Monthly. Restore point creator, once setup runs in the background at the scheduled time and creates a restore point. You never have to worry again or worry if you need to restore back to a previous time.

Why do I need this?Why would I need a restore point? Lets say for example... the exact situation that happened to CEO Charles Stratton. He had excellent Anti-virus software, but a new virus took over his computer, the virus was removed from the computer but did alot of damage: hid system folders, renamed files, even though the antivirus removed the virus, the computer would have to have everything reloaded becuase the virus caused such a mess (anti-virus software only removes viruses). This is where Restore Point Creator saved CEO Chuck hours of time. CEO Chuck restored his machine to the mornings restore point then ran the antivirus just to make sure and Voila. Fixed in minutes.

Summary
Don't have to worry about getting a virus or your machine going down completely. Lose one day of work, not a whole machine. Got it on both of my computers, work and personal. Need to put it on my wife's machine now....

Summary
This product is just what I wanted but after using it for several days I had a problem in the Micro$oft create restore point app giving the message ACCESS DENIED: ERROR 0x8007005. Micro$oft'$ web site has a solution for this problem but the solution does not work. Other forums mention this problem and refer you to Micro$oft'$ web page and their advice. Micro$oft $upport group refused to help me unless I paid a fee of $80.00 before being allowed to speak to a technician. The woman at support reception almost accused me of software piracy, but not quite as she said that this problem nearly always relates pirated copies. I know my copy of Windows 7 Ultimate is genuine as it has passed every test that Micro$oft has thrown at it. A similar problem occurred to me a year ago when Micro$oft refused to activate the product as I refused to take out membership in Micro$oft Live because of their extremely broad interpretation of their partners to whom they would give my private information and from whom they were entitled to obtain information about me. Because I refused to allow them to collect my private information my activation was delayed until I contacted the Australian Privacy Commission who deemed that Micro$oft'$ actions were illegal under Australian Law. I have no objection to Micro$oft protecting their Intellectual Property from Piracy but to more or less accuse me of piracy when my software passed their tests a year ago and to demand $80.00 fee to prove that it is genuine again is going to extremes. The problem appears to be that I purchased the computer through eBay from a small manufacturer with the system already on the machine and although I later updated to the 64 bit version it is treated my Micro$oft as OEM and therefore potentially pirated.

better User Interface to go along with the install would make it easier but it works great and was easy to install

Works great, got a virus and had used the restore point to this morning. It really saved me alot of time and money - I didn't have to redo my computer!
