Anya Lauchlan artist painter / illustrator, born 1948 in Moscow, exiled to the UK in 1986, resides in France.

Trained by Moissey Khazanov, a student of Marc Chagall, follower of The School of Paris. French Expressionist / Fauvism influence is evident in her work.

Lauchlan uses strong colours, her lines are fluid and elegant and her composition is masterly confident. The main body of Lauchlan's work up to date is realistic and consists largely of landscapes and still-life, she is also an award-winning portrait artist.
