definitely! i was most disappointed by the color of the switch 2 (hopefully they make up for it with special editions). their best play would be to totally lean into nostalgia, since majority of their fan base has been around a fat minute!

I have one thing I disagree on, and it’s that I very much doubt Nintendo is going to abandon the casual games like 1 2 Switch or a fitness game. Ring Fit alone scored 15 million sales on Switch, they know that casual games like that are just as important as the titles of their many big selling IPs like Mario or Zelda. And like you said, Nintendo are doing things the other companies aren’t and doing them well, which includes variety in their game output. Not everything they do will appeal to a hardcore crowd same as not all of it appeals to a casual crowd. Still, at the end of the day, you’re right. Nintendo have shed their former reputation of being too young and they’re being smart in their business stuff. Definitely looking forward to whatever they’re gonna show in April.
yo, what?! who tf bought Ring Fit Adventure? probably some Nintendo CEO, haha! but I seriously, i doubt it too. as much as kept saying Nintendo is mature, I am still fully confident in their ability to maintain their brand appeal, which has always been more about laid-back-fun games, appealing to fans, and making games that your grandma can play with you! For fuck's sake, the Switch has THREE Mario Party games! Mario Tennis and 1-2 Switch both sold better than PIKMIN 4, metroid dread, and NEW POKEMON SNAP, just to name a few. You're right, it's their lifeline. As much as those games contribute to their success, 3rd party games are even more of a contributing factor, for example Monster Hunter Rise nearly sold better than everything i just mentioned, combined! If Nintendo can replicate their Switch 1 success, but with a slightly more capable/accessible console, they can appeal to even more 3rd party developers (ELDEN RING?).. polar opposite of what we saw with the Wii U. With this new console they can also continue to release the games that they are known for and those that the fans want; remaining true to themselves AND allowing other developers onto their platform, DUB! Although, we're looking at a "new" nintendo, i do still believe they'll find a way to maintain that good old Nintendo charm. I personally hope they lean more into nostalgia!
@ Totally right. Like, the rumored specs being on par with PS4, which is still seeing itself able to run games, the third party scene is gonna go CRAZY here. And yeah, even if some of the casual titles sold better than stuff like Pikmin 4 and Dread, Nintendo are also smart enough to know those “smaller” successes (when Pikmin 4 sold 3 million plus units, so hard to even call that a small success) are also an integral part of their success. The exciting thing about the Switch 2 is the games, both the fun casual stuff like whatever Mouse mode game they inevitably make to sell people on the controller function, the new big Mario and Zelda, and the smaller stuff like hopefully a new Donkey Kong and Pikmin 5 and all that. Nintendo is real good at giving a variety of different experiences for different audiences. And I’m looking forward to it.

lowkeyyy, my top 5 are WW, LttP, TP, TotK, and ST! BotW and TotK undenaibly have the best Hyrule overworld. Hyrule Field in TP kinda sucks, with those stupid flying things, haha!

I'm excited to see what they do next!

it's the latest and greatest one tho, and the dualsense imo is the best remote of all time! at least on the ps5 you have the option to play some older games too, including some from ps2! oh, and ps2 doesn't have Bloodborne or Astro Bot 😭
