after seeing all of japan on this channel, it's clear nothing beats the night life of shibuya
Eh. I've lived in central Tokyo for a few years and i'm pretty big into nightlife. But honestly ? Europe's better when it comes to clubbing and/or concerts/live gigs. Japan's got food & drinks down pretty good though, and said food & drinks are also very affordable (this is even way before the current "yen Yasui" situation) - i feel like clubbing in Tokyo is way too much "See and be seen" very few places exist that where people care about the actual music, it's all just faked hype and low quality productions. Ironically the best places to go for music-minded people are the listening bars.

I tend to travel for the experience, as all my music is to be found at home, is the experience of Tokyo nightlife worth spending a few days there for me?
